Art has always been a passion of mine, and i pursue it in whatever form it may come. I am always looking for new projects and interesting canvas for expression. I was drawn to bone as a canvas about six years ago, and began experimenting with different techniques of mosaic. I often use color tones which mirror the landscapes of water, grass, soil and sky in which these animals once roamed.
While revering the animals as they were, I hope to breathe life into these forgotten objects and create novel collages which radiate their beauty. Often the work is meditative and without planning; simply a flowering of the mind. I love sharing my passions with others and hope you can find a design that suits your unique living space.
“The skulls were there and I could say something with them. To me they are as beautiful as anything I know. To me they are strangely more living than the animals walking around -- hair, eyes and all, with the tails switching. The bones seem to cut sharply to the center of something that is keenly alive on the desert even though it is vast and empty and untouchable-- and knows no kindness with all its beauty.”
